RAM Front Passenger Interactive Display

The Front Passenger Interactive Display is an available, segment-first 10.25-inch touchscreen set into the dashboard in front of the passenger seat, giving the front-seat rider a screen of their own. Through Uconnect, it lets the passenger handle routing and entertainment from their side of the dash, without reaching across to the driver's screen. On the RAM 1500 it is part of the most screen coverage in the segment, and it is also available on the heavy-duty RAM 2500 and 3500.

What the Front Passenger Interactive Display Does

The passenger display gives the front-seat rider their own controls instead of sharing the center touchscreen. Working through Uconnect, it lets the passenger handle navigation, bring up the truck's available camera views, and stream content during the drive, along with other in-cabin tasks. The idea is that the co-pilot can manage routing and entertainment from their side of the dash, which keeps those tasks off the driver's screen.

Where It Sits in the Cabin

The passenger display is one piece of a multi-screen cabin rather than a standalone add-on. On the RAM 1500 it joins an available 14.5-inch Uconnect touchscreen at the center of the dash and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster in front of the driver, which together make up more than 50 inches of combined display. The result is a layout where the driver and the front passenger each have a screen, and the passenger can use theirs independently.

What to Keep in Mind

Some of what the passenger display does, such as streaming content, depends on the truck's connectivity and active services, so the experience varies with how a given truck is set up. It is also positioned for the front passenger specifically, so its value is highest for owners who regularly travel with someone up front.

Which RAM Trucks Offer It

The Front Passenger Interactive Display is available on the RAM 1500 and on the heavy-duty RAM 2500 and 3500. It is an option rather than standard equipment, so it is configured on specific builds and appears on some trucks and not others. Which trucks on our lot include it changes as inventory turns over, so the cleanest way to find one is to browse current availability across the light-duty and heavy-duty lineups.

Seeing It in Person

A second screen in the dash is hard to picture until you are sitting next to it, so the best way to weigh it is from the passenger seat of a truck that has one. Mike Kelly Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram can walk you through a RAM 1500 or a heavy-duty 2500 or 3500 fitted with the display and show how the passenger side works on its own. Equipped trucks rotate through the lot, so let us know how you want the cabin set up and we will track one down for you in the Shenango Valley and across Western Pennsylvania.
